Longing is a romantic MonoShin zine. Pieces will be canon compliant or canon divergent and focus on older, pro-hero Monoma Neito and Shinso Hitoshi. Zine will be SFW and benefit a charity.

Mod Bitchy

I am a multi-shipper here to to spread the MonoShin gospel! I am your social media and organization mod and have modded several other projects including, Gravity Between Us (IzuOcha), Amplify! (KamiJirou), and Dodging the Punchline (EraserJoke). My MonoShin head canon is that Monoma's love language is touch, and Shinso's love language is words of affirmation, so a typical evening together consists of cuddling on the couch whispering sweet nothings into each others ears.

Hello! I am a multifandom, multishipper with a passion for everything zines and merch! I have been a mod for several zines including GBU and Amplify! My fav MonoShin headcanon is that Monoma reads trashy romance novels and Shinso pretends that he's not reading the same one.

Hi! I’m a poc, nb graphic artist and I’ll be your graphics mod! This is my first time modding, but I’ve worked as a contributor for the MHA Problem Child, MHA Beach Day, and YOI Coffee Shops and Slow Burns Zines! I headcanon that monoshin are a very competitive couple, settling arguments about household chores and date locations with petty games.

Hello! I love a few different BNHA ships but something about Monoma looking forward to his united front with Shinsou makes my heart melt… I headcanon that Shinsou likes to push Monoma’s hair back at random times because his eyes are so pretty! This is my first time modding in a zine, so I’m incredibly excited to work on one dedicated to one of my favourite BNHA ships!

Hi! I am a multi-shipper who absolutely loves cosplay and crafting. I have been working as a mod for the zine Amplify!(Kamijirou) and am excited to help spread some MonoShin love as well! My headcanon for them is that Monoma loves to make Shinsou watch musicals with him and forces him to sing along.

What is a zine?
A zine is a self published booklet. This zine specifically is a fan made publication about Monoma Neito and Shinso Hitoshi. There will be short fanfics, fan arts, comics, and perhaps some other interesting fan made content!

What kinds of merch will be available?
Mods have made no decisions at this point about merch. We have ideas that are fun and different, but want to wait until after the interest check closes before we continue with merch planning.

What is the zine rating?
PG13, this is an SFW zine.

What do contributors get?
We are offering free PDF versions of the zine and all merch options, however, if the zine sells enough for the mods to provide free books/bundles for the contributors that is what we want to do!

What kind of charity are you wanting to support?
TBD

How will I know if I get picked as a contributor?
Mods will be sending out e-mails to the account on your contributor application in early August. Keep your eyes on Twitter for an announcement that e-mails have been sent.

Do I have to have a beta?
Please try to secure a beta. Mod Bitchy will read before final drafts are approved.

Are you planning on doing the physical or digital zine and merch?
It all depends on the interest check! If mods feel like the project will be viable, they will run physical sales, however if mods do not feel as if it is viable we will do digital only.

Is there an age limit for the people who can participate?
The minimum age we will accept for a contributor is 16 years old. You must be at least 16 at the time of applying to participate.

Can I be an artist AND a writer? Or do I have to pick only one?
You are of course welcome to apply as a writer and as an artist! Although we can not guarantee that if we ask you to be a writer you will also be asked to create art for the zine and vice versa.

Will you be allowing multi shippers to join?
Multi shippers are more than welcome to participate! In fact, the current mods are multi-shippers. As long as the content of the piece that is created for the zine is MonoShin focused, we have no problem with allowing anyone who is enthusiastic about the ship to participate!

What are the Specs for the zine?
Once the interest check is completed, the mods will have a better idea of the zine specs.

Do contributor applicants have to have previous zine experience?
Not at all! We want people who are passionate about MonoShin! As well as someone who has talent and is dedicated to making this project the best it can be!

Are you going to have any guest artists or writers? Or will they all be determined by apps?
We have a few guest artists and writers in mind and will be reaching out in the near future! !

How many of each contributor are you wanting to accept?
Mods have vague numbers we are anticipating asking for, but will assess once the interest check closes.

Do you need mods? If so what are the requirements for becoming a mod?
We need an art/graphics mod. The mod team is willing to bring two people on to fill the role. See the mod page for more information.

Is the zine focused on canon-compliant or are AUs acceptable?
This project is slated to be canon-compliant/canon divergent. The only acceptable AU would be a "pro hero" AU in which the characters are adults.

Will you allow collabs?
Mods prefer and encourage collaboration in their projects, as long as the constraints of the project allow for it.

What is a pinch hitter?
Sometimes contributors need to drop out of a project and mods will ask people to come and fill in the gaps that they left. We call these people pinch hitters.

Will we be able to create two pieces if we really wanted to?
There will be opportunities to create multiple pieces. Check the Discord for details once creation begins!
